Nepal Industrial Commercial (NIC) Bank on Friday formally inaugurated its Narayanghat branch. Chairman of the bank, Jagadish Prasad Agrawal inaugurated the branch, which was opened for business in September 2009. According to a press release, the branch provides all modern banking services, also provides evening counter and ATM service.
It has already build a customer base of 1,500 since the commencement of its service. NIC Bank posted 21 percent growth in net profit to Rs 40.40 million in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.
The bank has also launched a new savings deposit account ´NIC Happy Savings Account´, which can be opened with initial deposit of Rs 1,000 with special interest rate of 7 percent for women and senior citizens.
