People who read newspaper in early morning or tune in News Channel are prone to psychological affects. Bad news on the front page in the early morning puts off your whole day. Unfortunately, in Nepal everyday there is just bad news on the front page. After reading following news, hardly you want to step into trading room.
- Jajarkot Epidemic of Acute Diarrhea kills hundreds, while the KTMduties enjoy first 4 D theater. Medical Professionals, Relief Fund, Social Activist and those mushrooming NOGs & INGOs had no interest what so ever with this crisis. The newly appointed prime minister instead of assembling a quick support and action team visited the affected area alone to give a speech. Are you KIDDING ?
- Killed for NOT-Kidnapping: Two mid teenager boys were killed in the name of kidnappers by the mob, till date neither government nor legal body provided any justice to the victims family. The culprits are still unknown, while the family of the victims seeking justice was man handled by security force at Prime Minister Quarter. Justice LOST FOREVER !
- Gone in 60 Seconds: A raging alcoholic, convicted twice for possession of narcotics and possessing illegal weapon, drives a car at 80 Kmph killing 6 people in a minute in the capital. The convicted parents are negotiating with the victim’s family over large sum of cash to take back the case. Money can buy everything, Even life.
You don’t need MASTER CARD! - Gambler tries to enact a Hollywood Gory Movie: Biren Pradhan, addicted gambler, abducts a college Girl; Khyati Shrestha, gets ransom and kills the victim. As if that was not enough, he cuts the corpse like some Hollywood Gory movie; dismantling and abandoning head, arms and legs in various part of the country. Such psycho is still breathing fresh air and eating chapattis paid by civilian’s tax money. This is the NEW NEPAL; we got what we were promised for. No one said it would be better one !
Above are some of the headlines that gives you the feeling of insecurity, lawlessness and loss of humanity in the country. When such social issues are prevailing unaddressed openly, hardly can one think of trading intellectually. The fog on such news blocks the investors mind to trade, psychologically.
