Either Play a Lottery or Gamble in a Casino
Published by Octron on September 2, 2008
Stock Market has always been viewed and interpretated different ways. Today, when I went to my broker’s office (name disclosed for the sake of privacy) people were asking him with various questions – Where to invest, which will be profitable, when is right time to sell and mostly swearing “NTC ko share le ta doobayo hamilai”.
All he said was – Either play lottery or Gamble in Casino.
If you dont want lot of risk and you think you are very lucky guy then always first try IPOs. There you will never hardly (due to Necon Air, Harisidhhi, etc crashes) ever lose. Keeping checking for latest and forthcoming IPOs in papers, news and also we will soon have such page for you
Secondary market has already turned into Casino. Within a day you can become the loser from winner. Take the case of recent NTC shares trading;
Sept 01, 2008 NTC trading – till 13:00 PM, it was priced Rs.1481/scrip and by the end of the day it was Rs.1212/scrips. Or last week’s NIB crash from Rs. 3001/scrip to Rs. 2029/scrip in a day.
Yes, as in Casino, there is huge amount of money that can be made in secondary market if you know properly the basics of the game. As in Vegas, here too house always win and believe me its very hard to win if you are playing for small and short games. Unless you understand who/what is driving up/down the price of the particular scrips it will be very high chance you will be victim of some big players.
As recent (and still) petroleum shortage, share prices can be hiked or crushed by real or artificial shortage of scrips. So you need to very carefully understand the facts. If you dont then ask someone who knows, discuss with other fellow peers in our forum. (http://www.nepseguide.com/forum/).
So, who you are Gambler or Lucky Guy ?

Have your say about recent NEPSE ups and down. Ask and Discuss the stuff which you dont know. Share latest information about the market & its driving factor. Plus BUY & SELL shares online over the table !
